What does a writer do? asked the dentist as he stabbed me full of novocaine. Good question, but not one I could answer under the circumstances.

When I started out at age seven I was curious to see if I could place interesting words on a lined sheet. Many decades later I try to find creative ways to shape my observations. As for the dentist’s query?

A writer makes a daily appointment with herself to face an empty page, humbly bearing patience, passion and respect for the transformative power of expression.
